Iwan VanHetten

Iwan VanHetten is a world class trumpet player who has years of experience touring around the world and recording with the likes of Candy Dulfer, Sister Sledge, Gloria Gaynor, and Tito Nieves to name a few. Iwan is active as a trumpet player, keyboardist and Musical Director.

Iwan is a core band member of the world renowned funk band ‘Brooklyn Funk Essentials’ for more than 15 years. With Brooklyn Funk Essentials Iwan has released numerous albums. Their brand new album release is called ‘Funk Ain’t Ova’ which is generating quite a buzz, and resulting in the band currently doing tour dates throughout Europe/Turkey. Besides extensive touring Iwan VanHetten is a passionate Conservatory Educator. Iwan owns his own state of the art SSL recording studio where he writes, composes, produces and mixes projects. Iwan’s next solo album release is scheduled for 2016.
